Trinity Original Soundtrack

About the same time as Champions of the Apocalypse, I was approached by a group called Knight Games to score their work in progress, tentatively called Trinity. I was concerned about the name at first, until I learned that it is not the Trinity viewed in Christianity today, but rather, according to the game design, a "trinity" of races. There are the mystical Celest, the industrious Humans, and the nature-abiding Elves. The game will focus on the interrelations between the three races in a time of crisis.

As prgress on this game is extremely slow, there is not much to post here. But I'm keeping up with tradition here by letting you preview my work. :)

Overture
Writing this piece took a considerable amount of time, but I stepped up to the challenge. It is a multipart suite that tells the background story behind the game. Here are its parts:
  1. Beginning motifs and title screen.
  2. Celest theme, tranquil.
  3. Human theme, upbeat.
  4. Elf theme, easy-going.
Now as you notice, all three themes have exactly the same chord structure. Here's the reason why:
  5. The Council. The three races would hold this council to maintain the peace. You can hear all three themes playing here at the same time. However, disruptions soon arise, as you hear in the shift to a minor key and the slowing tempo.
  6. The Triken War, which scarred all three races and their realms. A terrifying motif.
  7. Many Sorrows. The sad remnants of the destruction.
  8. Conclusion. The music looks ahead with optimism...and mystery.
Needless to say, I was quite drained after delivering this. :) But I'm quite proud of it.

Asta
This is the capital city of the Celest realm. Considering their cultured nature, I applied a classical touch.

The Fisherman's Hut
Part of the story involves our hero, a Celest, falling to the Human realm. A kindly old human fisherman finds him and helps him recover. For this tune, I sought to capture the spirit of Koichi Sugiyama's work.

Leeva
The City of Water, a notable part of the Human Realm. My original concept (next in the list) was more upbeat, but considering the somber history of Leeva, it didn't quite fit. Thus, this more tranquil version.

Festival of Waters
Here is the original upbeat theme. As the name wishfully implies, it may make its way into the game during a happier time in Leeva.

Gates and Ruins
Remnants of ancient technology are scattered throughout the three realms. This moody, mysterious piece is for their exploration. It's actually a derivative of the following...

The SkyGate
Most notable of all the ruins are the SkyGates, ancient transporting systems. The mystery and wonder of these devices can be heard here.

And, well..that's all I've written for it so far. We've seem to come to a standstill...

Oh, one more thing...the younger brother of one of KnightGames members submitted the following two tracks. I don't know yet if they'll be in the game.
Joy of Life
Strange...

That's all for now!
